MARY-GRACE BROWN
_____________________________________________________

Mary-Grace Brown, a native of the Philippines, has been dancing professional Salsa for two and a half years. She has received no such formal training in Salsa, or in any other dance, prior to this.

Her dancing, you could say,
is true street style, as she has learnt to dance purely in the social dance scene.

Before discovering the Latin dances however, she was dancing
street Hip Hop and RNB style, competing in dance circuits in Queensland.

She came second in the annual Bacardi Hip Hop Dance Competition in 2003, third in 2004, 4th in the Mercury Hip Hop Dance Slam Championships 2004, and her student team came second in the Sports Bar Hip Hop Dance Offs 2005.

She is an up and coming dancer in the
Salsa world. In Queensland, she has left quite a mark, placing 1st in the South Bank Salsa Standoff 2003, and 1st in the annual Queensland Street Salsa Competition in the same year.

She has performed in the Sydney Salsa Congress both in 2005 and 2006. In 2005, she went on a world-wind tour of the US, the UK and Europe to learn the latest styles of Latin dance.

Moving to Sydney in January of this year, and joining the LDA team, she is now ready to take on Sydney, Australia, and indeed, the rest of the world.

She will make her international debut in Los Angeles with the LDA pro-team and to compete in the World Salsa Competition.
