Jenni Brennan a sixth generation Australian was exposed to the performing arts at very early age by her musical parents. Both of whom accomplished musicians in their own right.

Jenni started playing the piano almost at the same time she learnt how to walk and she continued this all the way through to her late teens. A virtuoso, she reached the highest grade in Piano (8th grade).

She started ballet from the age of 6 which she continued through to her teens. Complimenting her dancing talents Jenni pursued the martial arts through her earlier years attaining considerable skill in karate. Studying Hayashi-Ha Shito-Ryo, Jenni has travelled extensively around Australia and undergoing 4 years of rigorous intensive training has won National Tournament Kata titles in Melbourne 1998, New South Wales 1999 and Hobart 2000 in the Maubuni Cup.

Equally academic, Jenni is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney and has a Psychology/Criminology degree as well as attaining an Education degree. Aside from her passion for Latin dance, Jenni always the enthusiast has worked since January 2000, full-time by day as a Primary Teacher (Year 5).

Jenni was first introduced to the exotic Latin rhythms in April 2001 during a friend’s birthday party. She began classes the very next day and has never looked back. Jenni participated in the 1st Annual LDA Ball 2001 and won the Award for Best Female Shines.

She also went on to win the same award in the following year in the 2002 LDA Ball, a feat that has only been equalled by fellow LDA dancer David Oreskovic. Her list of achievements in the LDA ball are as follows:

Jenni’s dance repertoire has expanded to include many other Latin dance forms namely, Salsa (Cuban, LA), Rueda, Cha Cha, Lambada and Samba. Her talents have not gone unnoticed and Jenni was asked to join LDA in September 2003. Her teaching skill coming to the fore she is now highly regarded by her students and peers alike as a very conscientious, articulate and devoted instructor.

Partnered with fellow LDA dancer David Oreskovic, they entered the 1st Annual Best of the Best Salsa Competition 2003. Couples from around Australia we’re invited to compete and this exciting combination made the finals in their very first competition together

Always eager to expand her knowledge in Latin dance, Jenni travels regularly. In 2002/2003 she travelled to Mexico, Cuba and Chile picking up Spanish and further igniting her passion for music and dance.

Always seeking new challenges to reach highest levels in dance, Jenni is well regarded in the Sydney Salsa Scene. Known for her elegance and her mischievous nature, she is highly sought after on the dance floor and can be found dancing in all the Salsa hotspots in Sydney.
