Amy’s desire and passion for the art of performance has opened many doors over the years. A member of the LDA Professional Team since April 2005, Amy brings her experience and flavor to the dance floor. In addition to all of the styles taught here at LDA (Samba, Lambada, Brazilian Fitness, Salsa LDA Style, Cha Cha, Bachata, Dance Aerobics), her dance repertoire, training and teaching experience in the past 10 years includes: Traditional Ukrainian Folk Dance (Folk Ballet), Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Podium and Character Podium work, Ballroom (Swing, Waltz, Polka), Belly Dance (Egyptian), some Polynesian, Break Dance, Jazz, and don’t forget one of the greatest, Cheerleading (Captain: 2 years!).


She was voted Best Dancer of 2003 by the city of Eugene! In addition to her experience on the stage she is involved in the Bollywood film industry and is a featured performer in a movie which will be released later this year. Amy’s performance experience is not limited to dance and film; it also includes Opera (formal training), Chamber Music, Jazz (vocal), Gospel, Musical Theatre, Blues & Rock Opera. Majoring in music she was awarded numerous talent scholarships including LCC’s Triple Threat Award for 2002 and earned positive recognition and support from highly respected instructors. In 2006 with her Hip Hop Pro team choreography she was awarded The Best Choreographer of the year by Latin Dance Australia.

This year has seen Amy as a performer/choreographer for the Sydney Salsa Congress (Jan 2007), a performer at the Carnival Party at Metro Theatre and the Bondi South American Festival (Feb 2007), she then performed and taught workshops at the Lindeman Island Club Med Latin Festival (March 2007). She also had the pleasure of traveling to Perth as a guest of the energized boogie-fest band called Sambalicious and later that month performed as a guest presenter for V Group at the Filex Fitness Industry Convention and Australian Fitness Expo(April 2007).


A performer and teacher, Amy continues to seek out new, exciting and rewarding artistic opportunities and that’s why she is one of the most respected and best performers in Australia and LDA is proud to have such talent their team.
