LDA is a group specializing in Dance Instruction and Latin Entertainment. LDA is the biggest Latin Dance School in Sydney and is the first and only Street Latin Dance School in Sydney to conduct operations at their own dance studio.

Marcia Pinheiro, the founder and director of LDA, started teaching Latin dance in Sydney when she first arrived in Australia from Brazil in 1998. Her first class was held, at La Campana, a venue in Sydney, and soon after she began opening classes in other Venues around Sydney.

Originally, an average of 15-30 students attended the class each week. Excellent growth in student numbers resulted in the formation of Latin Dance Australia. Since then and currently, LDA hosts classes in 5 venues across Sydney and averages 600 students per week. LDA is now one of Australia’s largest Latin Dance Schools and promoters of Latin and Brazilian culture.
