The Performer

Strangely enough Amie’s passion for Samba began after watching a Basement Jaxx concert in her home town of Adelaide which featured a beautiful feathered dancer gyrating and dancing to the electro beats.
Moving to Sydney she promptly searched for the cities leading Latin Dance Academy, Latin Dance Australia and began learning under the teachings of one of Sydney’s Samba Queens Amy Mills and fell in love with Brazilian, music and culture.
Performing with the pro Samba team throughout Sydney, the beat and the rhythm of Samba is what Amie loves about this dance style which reflects in the big smile on her face whenever she hears the beat of the drums.

The Person

Amie’s other passion is photography and she has been working as a qualified professional for the past 5 years.
After 6 months of travelling around the world she moved to Sydney for better job opportunities.  Falling in love with the city and also the leading man in her life, she likes to spend her time relaxing with a book at the beautiful beaches and enjoying the vibrant nightlife with her new group of Samba girlfriends.
